Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane is badgering president Florentino Perez about a January deal for Alexis Sanchez.

Don Balon says he has approached Perez about bringing in the Arsenal striker.

Real Madrid have had a tough start to the La Liga campaign and are struggling for goals in the absence of Karim Benzema.

It is not the first time Zidane has asked for Sanchez as he also wanted him in the summer.

However, they doubt the Spanish side's ability to compete with Manchester City for his signature, especially with no obvious place for him in their squad.

Sanchez would have to compete with Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Marco Asensio for a place in the starting XI.
