Real Madrid coach Schuster: Good time to lose

Juanito and former Real striker Alvaro Negredo struck Almeria's goals, but Schuster remained positive, despite the setback.

"We have not been inferior to Almeria in anything. We all have been surprised with the first goal," said Schuster. "The second goal arrived in the beginning of the second-half and made it difficult for us.

"We created more chances, but their goalkeeper kept us out. The game was decided by failing to make the most of those chances.

"I am very calm because it seems to me very good that we have had this misfortune now. It shows that we cannot take anything granted and we must work hard. Once in a while you need something like this.

"The defeat comes to us at the best moment. Somebody said that this Liga is bad because of the difference in points between the two teams today, but this has been proved untrue. There is competitiveness throughout the Liga."
