Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti is delighted with the progress of his team this season.

Ancelotti says the change from the old guard to the younger generation has been smooth.

He said at yesterday's Champions League presser, "It's natural, you don't have to push it.

"There are legends who have left, others stay... the basis is the lack of ego of the veterans, which has allowed the young people to adapt well to the squad and the club."

Of his own motivation, Ancelotti says it's easy.

He stated: Because I like what I do and where I do it. And the squad I have.

"And now the competition that this club likes the most is back."
