Real Madrid chief Emilio Butragueno insists Cristiano Ronaldo is no diver.

Ronaldo was accused of diving to try to win a penalty during the stalemate against Sporting Gijon.

"We were unable to score and that may catch the eye, but these things happen in football.

"There was a controversial incident in the first half when it was a penalty on Cristiano, who isn't the sort to dive and totally had the advantage. The replays show it was a penalty, but the referee didn't see it that way," Butragueño told Canal+.
