Real Madrid are being linked with Espanyol striker Pablo Daniel Osvaldo.
Sport says Real are interested in the Argentine-born attacker as coach Jose Mourinho seeks a new centre-forward signing for the winter market.
Blackburn Rovers and Wigan Athletic are also chasing Osvaldo.
Espanyol are reluctant to sell and will insist on a price of £5 million-plus if they are to part with the Italy U21 international.
