Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos is happy he rejected Manchester United last summer.
Spain international Ramos says he doesn't regret snubbing United.
“It's good I didn't go to Manchester," he told radio station El Larguero. "These are moments that have already happened, decisions that are fortunately taken for the best.
"The balance is clearly on one side so I'm proud to be here for many more years.
“The captain's armband does weigh heavily, especially if you look back at the history of this team. The captain is the first to set an example if you want something from the rest.
"I'm the first to throw myself in the mud if they want to play dirty.
"It's a tremendous honour to be the captain of this team, to have this responsibility and to reach it in the best way possible."
