Real Madrid axing medical chief Mihic over Guler frustration

Real Madrid are axing medical chief Dr Niko Mihic.

Marca says Mihic is being pushed out this week after six years in charge.

Mihic is close to president Florentino Perez and Luka Modric and had worked with Real for ten years before exclusively taking charge in 2017 after the Dr Olmo controversy.

However, he is now being moved on with concerns over his management of Arda Guler's knee injury.

There are also complaints about the relapses for Dani Ceballos and David Alaba this season. The situation has led to tension between the players and the medical staff, which eventually reached the board room.

As such, Florentino is now acting and a change at the head of the club's medical services is now underway.
