Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Junior looking forward to Celtic 'pressure'

Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Junior is excited ahead of facing Celtic in their Champions League opener.

Vini Jr gave his view on the challenge that lies ahead at Celtic Park, as well as receiving his Spanish passport.

"[I have] a lot of joy to have won the last Champions League, but we are looking forward to winning another one," he said.

"The coach has told us that we have to defend our title well."

His composure in front of goal has improved drastically and he wants to continue improving on his numbers, and as a player in general.

"Of course I want to score more goals and provide more assists, but my goal is to keep winning with the team," he said.

"I'm 22 years old and I know I have to keep developing. The club is giving me everything so that I can continue to grow.

"I think I have to improve on everything. I want to keep evolving until the last day of my life. I play with Karim [Benzema], who is evolving every day and is 34 years old."

Celtic have made an excellent start to the season that hasn't gone unnoticed.

"They are a good team, with a crowd that puts a lot of pressure," he said.

"They won the last game 4-0. It's my first time here and I want to play a great game and come away with the three points.

"I love these games, I love playing in a full stadium and under pressure. That's what we Madrid players like."
