Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo: It's irritating having to face Man City

Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo Goes admits mixed emotions facing Manchester City this week.

Real will host the first-leg of their Champions League quarterfinal tomorrow night.

Rodrygo told Guardian: “It's a tie that brings back good memories, but also bad ones.

“The truth is that it is a rival that we wanted to avoid, although I think they think the same, they would not want to play against us. Manchester City is very good, but so is our team. It will be good to face them again.

“It is the reigning champion of the Champions League and the world champions. Right now they are the best team in the world, so we have total respect for them. They don't have bad or average players, there are no players that you think you can put pressure on because they aren't very good or can facilitate a chance.

"They know how to control the ball and the game. They play beautifully, they are a difficult team. It's irritating to play against them, but I trust our team."
