Real Betis have signed a cooperation agreement with the United Nations Children's Fund (Unicef) to carry out health, nutrition and education programs in developing countries, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.
Betis will offer financial and image support for actions carried out by the non-profit organisation (NGO) focused on child vulnerability.
The money will go towards Unicef's aim of vaccinating more than 100,000 children against common diseases and supplying more than 1,700 children with drinking water worldwide.
"I am doubly happy because about a month ago I was named friend of Unicef and he made me very happy," said Joaquín Sánchez, Real Betis club captain. "Now this agreement makes me proud to be one more of this important family."
