Real Betis midfielder Andrés Guardado: Only Pachuca interested in bringing me home

Real Betis midfielder Andrés Guardado has revealed only one LigaMX club have expressed interest in bringing him home.

Guardado, in an interview for Star+, the Jalisco-born player admitted that one of his dreams was to finish his career at former club Atlas.

He recalled: “I told my agent to talk to the teams to see who might be interested, if I fitted in with their plans, and in Mexico there was only one team that opened the doors of their club to me. And I am very grateful for that because it was a response that I didn't expect and it was one of the ones I least expected.

"It was from Jesús Martínez [of Pachuca]."

Guardado said that although nothing was formally agreed with Pachuca, he was very grateful to Jesús Martínez, and if things work out, he would love to work with him in the future.
