Real Betis face a battle to sign Roque Santa Cruz permanently from Manchester City.
Santa Cruz has hopes of joining Betis outright in June, though finances could scupper the deal.
The Paraguay striker is tied to City until 2013 and he will have to accept a massive pay-cut to sign with Betis permanently.
