Reading are chasing Portsmouth striker David Nugent.

The Sun says Royals boss Brendan Rodgers is considering a swap deal for Nugent with wantaway winger Stephen Hunt, 27.

Royals director of football Nicky Hammond watched Nugent bag a hat-trick at non-league Eastleigh on Monday.

Rodgers said: "The club are aware of the targets I want. Nick has been working hard."
