Reading are waiting to snap up Newcastle United fullback Danny Simpson.
Simpson is expected to be sold by Toon once they close a deal for Lille defender Mathieu Debuchy.
The Evening Chronicle says Debuchy could be signed tomorrow, leaving the way clear for Simpson to be sold to the Royals.
