Reading boss Steve Coppell is refusing to sell striker Simon Cox to Swindon.
Cox has already been on loan this season at the Robins, who have just had a transfer embargo lifted, but Coppell insisted no deal would be done until later in the month.
He said: "He has made it very clear that he wants to play. He would love it to be here but if not then somewhere else. I said to him 'let's just see what happens in the transfer window' and after that we can make a more definitive decision."
