Reading boss seeking Little boost

Steve Coppell feels that Glen Little's return from injury will act as a timely fillip to the final four games of Reading's bid to stay in The Premier League.

Little's season did not get underway until he played 30 minutes of the 2-0 defeat to Fulham on Saturday.

Coppell is hopeful that Little could prove himself to be a piece of the jigsaw that his side have been sorely lacking.

"He gives us something different," he told Reading's official website. "With four games left, who knows what he can give us, I hope he can supplement what we've got. "He's not got 90 minutes yet but he's trained hard and has done everything asked of him. There are no problems with the Achilles. "I wish it was the situation last April when he was playing very good football. He's a creator who can provide. I think he has a part to play for us, but we need to pass to him occasionally."
