RB Salzburg accept Leeds offer for Rasmus Kristensen

Leeds United are close to clinching the signing of RB Salzburg defender Rasmus Kristensen.

The exciting 24-year-old right-back has been described as the best defender in Austria.

The Danish defender is being touted for a £10million move away from the Red Bull Arena this summer, with Jesse Marsch keen on a rendezvous with the 24-year-old.

Borussia Dortmund and Brentford are also reportedly keen on the defender, but Leeds know they have a growing problem at right-back if their injury problems worsen. Kristensen would provide good competition for Luke Ayling upon his return from injury, having played in the Champions League with Salzburg last year.

And transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has now reported that a move is close. He said: "Rasmus Kristensen, one step away from joining Leeds. The agreement with RB Salzburg is now close as Jesse Marsch wants him as new righ back. LUFC's Tuesday's opening bid around €10m now set to be accepted."
