Southampton and Brighton face competition for Almeria striker Darwin Nunez.

Both Premier League clubs are keen on the attacker, though it's emerged Benfica are also in contact with Segunda Division Almeria about a price for the player.

Nunez's contract carries a €40m buyout clause, which would've jumped to €80m if they'd been promoted.

RB Leipzig have also come forward with an offer rising to €30m for the Uruguay international.

Nunez is currently spending his summer break in Ibiza after Almeria's promotion playoffs failure.
