German giants RB Leipzig are being linked with a shock move for Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta.
The French forward, who is 26, has worked with Leipzig boss Marco Rose at Mainz in the past.
The Germans are ready to pay a fee of around £12 million to secure Mateta this summer, says The Sun.
However, Palace are not too willing to sell for a small fee, as they want to improve their squad as well.
Mateta struggled last season, scoring two goals in 29 games last season.
Manager Roy Hodgson is willing to sell the forward, but only for a fee that would allow him to improve his squad with a new striker signing.
