RB Leipzig form could save Liverpool money on Keita fee

Liverpool could be set to save some money on their upcoming transfer of Naby Keita from RB Leipzig.

There are some parts of the transfer fee that are not set in stone. And they include payments based on where Leipzig will finish this season in the Bundesliga.

If they finish in a Champions League spot, the fee is around £59 million. If they only make the Europa League, the fee goes down by £6.25 million to £52.75 million. And if they are even lower than those positions, the fee is only £48 million.

Leipzig are now in 6th place in the table, after a loss this weekend. If they finish 7th or lower, Liverpool would pay the base fee of £48 million in the summer.
