RB Leipzig chief Max Eberl has long-term plans for Liverpool midfielder Fabio Carvalho.

The youngster is currently in Leipzig for a medical and to sign a one-year loan deal.

The arrangement doesn't involve a permanent option, despite a request from Eberl.

However, Kicker says Eberl retains hope of keeping hold of Carvalho beyond this season.

He intends to use the coming season to work on Carvalho and convince him about signing long-term with RBL.
