RB Leipzig and Croatia defender Josko Gvardiol wants to move clubs this summer.
The centre back is aiming to join Manchester City in the coming weeks, according to his current team's sporting director.
The 21-year-old, who was outstanding at the World Cup, could be joining Pep Guardiola's treble winners for the new season.
“Gvardiol and his agents gave us their desire to move to Manchester City. We are in talks with City," Leipzig sporting director Max Eberl said, as quoted by The Times.
“Yes, for €100 million plus bonuses, Gvardiol will end up in Pep's strong hands.
“The value of the deal would make Gvardiol the most expensive defender in history. But it might take a few more days."
