Phil Rawlins has resigned as Stoke City director.

Rawlins has ended a 14-year spell on Stoke City's board by resigning as a director.

The United States-based businessman has sold his shares in the club to Stoke Holdings, the company controlled by the Coates family.

Rawlins, aged 55, is to concentrate his efforts on helping run Stoke's sister club Orlando City, who will begin playing in Major League Soccer next year, reports The Sentinel.
