Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has warned fans not to expect big-name signings.
Ratcliffe says they'll seek to buy in the youth market.
He told the GT Cycling Club when they asked about Jude Bellingham: "He's a great footballer. But It's not where our focus is.
"The solution isn't spending a lot of money on a couple of great players. They've done that if you look at the last ten years."
He later added: "I would rather try and sign the next Kylian Mbappe, rather than spend a fortune trying to buy success.
"It's not that clever buying Mbappe. Anyone can figure that one out."
