Rangers striker Jermain Defoe has seen enough from Steven Gerrard to know he's destined for big things in management.

Defoe has enjoyed working for the Liverpool legend at Ibrox.

He told talkSPORT: "I have to highlight my current coach, Mr Gerrard. He will be a top class coach, really top class. He is a gift of nature. He is new in the coaching industry, but you can see that he naturally has everything.

"He always tells us players that if we want to talk to him about anything, the door is open. He can be reached, which is very important as a coach. Sometimes it may be that you have things you want to say, but feel uncomfortable with the coach. With Steven, it's not so. You can talk to him about everything."
