Rangers are chasing frozen out Juventus fullback Fabio Grosso.

The World Cup winner is not in the plans of Juve coach Gigi del Neri and can leave for a nominal fee in January.

Turin sources say Rangers boss Walter Smith wants to take him to Ibrox next month and is preparing a bumper contract for Grosso's minders to consider.

The defender has also been linked with Olympique Marseille.
