The Sun reports that former Rangers star Rino Gattuso recommended Dalla Bona to Walter Smith when he was back in Scotland last week.

The 26 year old has fallen out of favour at current club Napoli and would be interested in a move back to Britain, as his agent Claudio Pasqualin confirmed:

"The only contact we have had for Dalla Bona is from Scotland. Rangers have made their interest clear, while Napoli have chosen other players ahead of him."
