Rangers have confirmed interest in young Arsenal striker Rhys Murphy.
The 20-year old has been told he can leave the Emirates Stadium this summer and he subsequently played a trial game for the Scottish champions on Monday.
'Gers boss Ally McCoist confirmed that the club was closely monitoring the England youth international and would have him back at training next week to again cast an eye over him.
"Rhys Murphy came up and played a closed doors game for us yesterday and did fine," McCoist said.
"He's gone back home, he has an international next week and he is going to come up and join us again towards the end of next week for the following week's training just to have a look at him."
