Rangers' Edu excited by first Champions League experience

Rangers midfielder Maurice Edu was clearly excited by his first European Champions League experience.

Despite not playing due to injury, the 23-year old US international was buzzing before Rangers took on Spanish outfit Sevilla on Tuesday night and shared his thoughts in his Twitter page.

"Who knows wat 2day is?? CHAMPS LEAGUE! 745 vs Sevilla! Injured so not playing :( but its my 1st champs lg experience so I'm excited!," Edu wrote.

The end result would not have thrilled Edu too much as Rangers went down 4-1 at Ibrox but the fact his club is involved in the world's premier club competition was enough for the former Toronto FC man.

He then posted that Rangers were next looking forward to the Old Firm clash this weekend.

"Just home from the game...tough loss...next match is Celtic on the weekend," he wrote after the match.
