Swansea City defender Angel Rangel was thrilled with the manner of victory at QPR.

Rangel hailed the display as the best of his five years at the club.

He said: "Everyone has played so well and when everyone is very focused on the game, you can see that we don't concede goals and we score goals. It was the best performance, I think.

"We've had so many in the last four seasons. But, as I say, it's the greatest start and hopefully we can roll on into the league."

He added: "It's a perfect day.

"The last few seasons haven't been great on the first day. But you have to changed these things and I think we've put in great work throughout all of pre-season.

"It's what probably we lacked other seasons, that we played so well and we didn't take our chances.

"We know we haven't won anything yet but it's always good to keep a clean sheet first game of the season and score so many goals and get confidence for the next game."
