Former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has rejected a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia.
The Wales captain is pushing to leave Nice and is hoping to secure a release from his contract.
However, his favoured destination is Cardiff City and not the Saudi Pro League, says The Sun.
Ramsey weighed up the big-money offer from Saudi but is edging towards a return to Wales where he started his career.
Nice are expecting him for preseason training, though Ramsey currently has his agents negotiating a release from a deal which has less than 12 months to run.
