Ramos knew he was gone for some weeks at Tottenham

Juande Ramos knew he was on the way out for some weeks at Tottenham, it has been revealed.

The Daily Mail says he took the team to Udine on Thursday for a UEFA Cup-tie but left assistant manager Gus Poyet to tear into the players after they were beaten 2-0.

Ramos appeared disillusioned and uninterested.

So were his players, with three sent off in his last two games and David Bentley and Jonathan Woodgate appearing unhinged in various interviews over the past seven days.

The former Sevilla coach had also done little to improve his English, with some sources at the club claiming that he even stopped taking lessons in his final few weeks at the club.

Defeat in Italy was the end, with influential directors Matthew Collecott, Paul Barber and Donna Cullen nodding their heads in the direction of Harry Redknapp.
