Ramon Planes are set to be named Real Betis sporting director this week.

Planes has left his role with Getafe to take charge of Betis after Antonio Cordon's departure.

The agreement seemed closed two weeks ago, but the definitive 'yes' did not arrive until the beginning of this week.

Planes parted ways with Getafe a month ago and from that moment the Andalusian club had made clear their interest.

The agreement is complete and Planes will start working as sports director in the coming days.
