Ramires ready to roll for new club Chelsea

Ramires says he's ready to toll for new club Chelsea.

The former Benfica man signed for Chelsea on Friday.

"I don't like to talk about myself, it feels odd and I am a bit shy about putting myself under the microscope, but I always try to give my best and do as much as I can to help the team," he told chelseafc.com. "With time people will get to know me and I hope I can live up to the expectations.

"I always like to help on the defence and then be available on the attack when needs be, and I like to work on my physical strengths and abilities."

Although he was not involved in the win over West Bromwich Albion at the Bridge, Ramires feels he is fit and ready to go after a pre-season spent in Portugal, and a midweek friendly against America for his national side.

"There is no problem because actually I played 70 minutes for Brazil last week, I did the whole pre-season with Benfica and played in some friendlies, so there is no problem. I feel good," he smiled.

"I have been training, I am going to work really hard and I am ready if and when the coach calls up on me."
