Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic has accused England's players of arrogance after Croatia's World Cup semifinal win last night.

Rakitic helped Croatia to a nailbiting triumph and to reach the World Cup final for the first time in the nation's history.

He declared: "It's an unforgettable night, we deserved it because we showed impressive morale.

"There is still a lot of strength, it's amazing to see that the English could not do any more and we could, that gives us a lot of morale, it's amazing to be in a final and we hope to win, we did very well they could not handle our pressure.

"Everyone does what they think is right, they already thought they were in the final ... let them keep doing their thing..."
