John McGlynn has refused to comment on reports linking him with the Dundee United manager's job after Peter Houston withdrew from the race. It has been claimed Raith boss McGlynn is now one of the front-runners for the position but he would not discuss the matter when contacted by Press Association Sport.
United have been forced to look for alternatives after caretaker manager Houston chose not to apply for the role vacated by new Scotland boss Levein last week.
Former Tannadice star Michael O'Neill, currently in charge at Shamrock Rovers, is said to be another leading candidate.
