Rafa Benitez is set to break his silence today over his exit from Newcastle United.
Benitez is set to break his silence on his departure from the club on Monday, according to reports.
The Spaniard, who took charge in March 2016, left the Premier League club when his contract expired on June 30.
Newcastle confirmed his exit last week after they were unable to agree a new deal with the 59-year-old, who has previously managed the likes of Liverpool , Real Madrid and Chelsea.
The Sun says he is expected to explain his side of the story in a statement on Monday.
With his contract now officially concluded, Newcastle are expected to step up their search for a new boss while the Spaniard reportedly received a £12m-a-year offer to take charge of Chinese club Dalian Yifang prior to his departure.
