Queiroz: Ronaldo still better than Man Utd striker Rooney
Former Manchester United No2 Carlos Queiroz says Cristiano Ronaldo remains a better player than his former teammate Wayne Rooney.
The debate is raging around the world about who is better seeing as the Portuguese ace’s £80m departure for Real Madrid has seen Rooney blossom.
But Portugal coach Queiroz said: “Rooney is doing very well, but Ronaldo is the best player in the world and I hope that he will come through the World Cup having scored lots of goals and still be the best.
“If he does that, then he can help Portugal to big success in South Africa.
“Rooney is a great player, though. I worked with him for many years at United. He is a fantastic player and a great professional who is getting better all the time, but Cristiano is the best in the world.
“I’m sure he is happier now he is in Spain with Madrid. You don’t take that kind of decision, to leave United, if you are happy there, right?
“You would have to ask Cristiano what he really feels, but I would guess he is happier now he is with Madrid.’’

Man united is not a selfish team we make a good player what ever he wants to be.so if rooney is determined 2 be the best in the world, the team can sacrifice a lot for him.unlike real where everybody wants 2 be the best which is not possible
In a season Ronaldo can never score up to 25goals for madrid cos every player at madrid wants 2 make name for himself unlike man utd where many players has d chance to score but they stil give it away to ronaldo so ronaldo wil have 2 walk his pants off meet the standard of the game he playd @ man utd.watchout for rooney
obviously ronaldo 's better but I like rooney for his unselfishness to help his team mates while ronaldo sometimes tries to do it on his own to take all the glory. I like valencia for his contribution to set up goals and track back to his right back and try to win ball back. So to attack and defend as a team.
