QPR striker Remy to keep Arsenal, Liverpool waiting

QPR striker Loic Remy won't rush his next move.

The Daily Star says Remy, 27, spent last season on-loan at Newcastle United - scoring 14 goals in 24 starts - but remains unsure over a permanent switch to St James' Park.

The France international, who has a £8m release clause, has held initial talks with Arsenal and Liverpool as aims to secure a move to a club competing in the Champions League.

"The World Cup is a chance for me to showcase my ability," Remy told L'Equipe. "Newcastle, who I was loaned to by QPR, want to buy me. But I do not know if I'll stay there.

"I'm at a turning point in a pivotal year. It can be all guns blazing or stagnation.

"Since the beginning of the year, apart from my injury, it has been good. And when I am fit, I think I can hurt any opposition."
