QPR's promotion back to the English Premier League has finally hit home for defender Clint Hill.
The R's have known for two weeks that they will be playing top flight football next term but 32-year old left-back Hill says it has only really sunk in as the final week was shrouded in doubt due to the investigation the London club found themselves regarding the purchase of midfielder Alejandro Faurlin.
But for intents and purposes, QPR are up and Hill is delighted.
"I think promotion is beginning to sink in - it's such a strange feeling," Hill told the club's official website.
"That last day was so dramatic, wasn't it!
"Finding out that there wasn't going to be a points deduction was a massive relief.
"Then we had the trophy lift and the massive celebrations.
"We've been on massive high but now it's calmed down a bit.
"Maybe when we see the fixture list - seeing who we're going to play on the first day of the season - we'll start to think 'wow, we're there!'"
