QPR open compo talks with Palace for Warnock

QPR must pay £1 million to land Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock.

The Daily Mail says Warnock moved closer to becoming QPR boss as the clubs began talks over a compensation package.

Warnock was expected to seal his move to replace QPR caretaker manager Mick Harford by tomorrow.

Rangers' weekend visit to Middlesbrough is likely to be the last in charge for Harford.

Palace want £1million in compensation for Warnock and Gareth Southgate is favourite to take his place.
