QPR remain keen on Portugal defender Bruno Alves.

The Daily Express says QPR are set to redouble their efforts to prise Bruno Alves away from Zenit St Petersburg.

The Hoops were very busy in the winter window, with their major coup being Chris Samba, whom they signed for £12.5m.

They are currently marooned at the bottom of the table, and may find it hard to recruit a player of Alves' ilk unless they can retain their Premier League status next season.
