QPR keeper Green explains 'losing it' for only second yellow in 17 years

QPR goalkeeper Rob Green explained his surprise booking during victory over Leicester City.

It was four minutes into added time when Green had to be restrained from poking a gloved hand into City's Marc Albrighton after the keeper reckoned he saw an attempted swing at Karl Henry.

"I saw a punch while Karl was lying on the floor," Green said. "Everyone has their own opinion, and the referee saw it, and gave him (Albrighton) a booking as well.

"Sometimes when you see something like that it's difficult to reign your instincts in.

"I found it strange I was getting the same punishment as someone punching my team-mate. Maybe, it's one of those wonderful things in football."

For Green, it was only a second booking in 17 seasons.
