QPR fullback Danny Simpson has no regrets leaving Newcastle United.
Simpson insists a step down to the Championship has only been good for him.
He told the Fulham Chronicle: "The reason I left Newcastle was because they told me I wasn't going to play.
"I wasn't prepared to do that. I wanted to play football and wanted to be part of getting the club back into the Premiership.
"The last six months at Newcastle was tough and I don't want to be on a bench. I'm enjoying the football and I want to play on a Saturday afternoon."
