QPR boss Harry Redknapp fears missing out on Tottenham striker Harry Kane.
With doubts over the fitness of Johnson and Bobby Zamora, the Loftus Road chief is still keen to add to his attack.
And Redknapp confirmed Kane is still on his radar.
He said: "I was going to take Harry on the deadline. I was going to take him that night when AJ looked like he was going to Palace.
"Now, I don't know. Harry's probably the third choice at Spurs now. Whether they'll still loan him, I don't know. They might do.
"Andy Johnson missed all of last season - is he going to stay fit? Bobby Zamora's had problems too.
"That is the only area. Everywhere else I'm very happy with."
