QPR boss Harry Redknapp says signing Tottenham winger Andros Townsend is nigh impossible.

Redknapp says he's ruled out signing Townsend on a permanent deal.

"It's difficult," he told reporters at his press conference. "Andros [Townsend] belongs to Tottenham but as I said we are looking for loans.

"We can't be buying players like Andros at the moment here. It's not possible."
