QPR boss Beale confident of big things from Aston Villa loanee Iroegbunam

Queens Park Rangers boss Michael Beale is confident of big things from Aston Villa loanee Tim Iroegbunam.

Iroegbunam, 19, was signed on loan by Beale on deadline day after Steven Gerrard sanctioned the move for the prospect to re-join his former assistant coach in the Championship. The England U19 international has since gone on to make his debut for the club, as he came on for Samuel Field the final 20 minutes against Swansea City on Saturday.

Iroegbunam recorded 14 touches, an 88% pass accuracy, one foul drawn and one interception as QPR lost 1-0 away from home.

Beale later said: "Tim's a very good player and we're fortunate to have him. We can't rush him. He's 19 but I think he's going to have a good season here with us.

"He showed that he can pick a pass and that he can also travel with the football. Let's just give these boys a chance."
