QPR attacker Tommy Smith hopes they can add to the squad before the transfer deadline.
Smith, who fired the winner in Saturday's 1-0 win at Everton, admits the squad have found a new lease of life since Tony Fernandes' takeover and is relishing the prospect of playing alongside some established Premier League stars who he hopes will help keep the club in the top flight.
"We have been linked with some interesting players," Smith said.
"It will be great if we get some real quality in - some players who have played at the top level in the Premier League.
"That would be great for the dressing room and the club as a whole. It will improve us as a team."
