Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor is a target for cashed up Qatari clubs.

The London Evening Standard says both El Jaish Sports Club and reigning champions Lekhwiya Sports Club, who play in the Qatar Stars League, have expressed an interest.

Lekhwiya are managed by former Swansea boss Michael Laudrup, and have ex-Swans defender Chico Flores and former Manchester City forward Vladimir Weiss in their squad.

Qatari clubs are limited to four "professional" players, who are paid the top contracts, one of whom must be Asian. Although the standard of the league is not comparable with Europe's top divisions, a number of proven players have moved to Qatar in the past, usually at the end of their careers.
