Former Chelsea striker Adrian Mutu hopes to return to Fiorentina.
The Romania international has terminated his contract with Petrolul by mutual consent and joined Indian club Pune FC.
"Pune had already made an offer for Mutu during the summer, but I preferred to keep him at Petrolul," said President Daniel Capra.
"Only later did we think of his possible return to Florence in January, at the end of the Indian Super League. I know he wants to end his career at Fiorentina."
